We are looking for a hands-on Production Incharge / Production Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of our manual PCB assembly and testing line.
You will own the complete production floor—from incoming component inspection and inventory management to PCB assembly, functional testing using custom test jigs, final quality inspection, documentation, billing coordination, and dispatch. You will work closely with the engineering team to support product revisions, improve testing processes, and maintain high manufacturing quality.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable performing precision soldering, managing production records, supervising operators, and ensuring smooth production flow.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or production, preferably in low-to-medium volume manual assembly
- Diploma / ITI / B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field (strong hands-on experience is also acceptable)
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on soldering skills (Through-Hole and fine-pitch SMD), including PCB rework
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 or similar workmanship standards
- Understanding of ESD-safe handling practices
- Experience operating or supervising PCB functional, in-circuit, and end-of-line test jigs
- Ability to inspect incoming electronic components using datasheets, markings, multimeters, and continuity testing
- Knowledge of inventory and stores management including FIFO, lot tracking, bin management, stock reconciliation, and minimum/maximum stock levels
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (ERP experience is a plus)
- Basic understanding of billing and dispatch documentation including invoices, delivery challans, and e-way bills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GST-compliant billing and dispatch documentation
- Experience supervising a small production or assembly team
- Knowledge of production documentation required for government or institutional tenders
- Experience with hardware products such as access control systems, IoT devices, or consumer electronics
- Ability to prepare SOPs, work instructions, and inspection procedures independently
Key Responsibilities
- PCB Assembly & Testing
- Perform manual THT and SMD soldering and PCB rework as required
- Train and supervise assembly operators on soldering quality, ESD handling, and workmanship standards
- Set up and maintain production workstations, fixtures, and tools
- Operate custom PCB test jigs and maintain testing records
- Identify recurring failures and coordinate with engineering for corrective actions
- Support engineering with test jig calibration, maintenance, and implementation of new product revisions
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections before packing
- Maintain rejection and rework records and participate in root-cause analysis
Documentation, Stores & Dispatch
- Maintain batch traveler sheets, test logs, inspection reports, rejection reports, and rework history
- Ensure complete traceability from component lots to serialized finished products
- Prepare and update SOPs, work instructions, and inspection checklists
- Plan components and consumables based on production schedules and customer orders
- Organize stores using proper labeling, FIFO, lot tracking, and regular cycle counts
- Raise purchase requisitions proactively and coordinate with procurement to avoid production delays
- Prepare delivery challans, invoices, and dispatch documentation in coordination with the accounts team
- Coordinate packing, shipment, and logistics while maintaining dispatch records
