Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Purchase will be responsible for sourcing, procurement, vendor management, and supply chain coordination for engineering-related materials, equipment, and services. The role ensures timely delivery, cost optimization, quality compliance, and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sourcing and procurement of engineering materials, equipment, and services.
- Develop procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain supplier databases, evaluate supplier performance, and build strong vendor relationships.
- Coordinate demand forecasting, inventory management, logistics planning, and timely material delivery.
- Work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to support project timelines and requirements.
- Monitor supply chain performance, identify risks, and address delays, shortages, quality issues, and cost fluctuations.
- Manage procurement budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and analyze market trends for better pricing and terms.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle supplier disputes, claims, and issue resolution.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier agreements, and prepare reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and project status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or engineering project procurement.
- Experience managing suppliers, logistics, and procurement activities for engineering, manufacturing, or project-based environments.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and vendor development.
Skills & Competencies

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in procurement systems, ERP tools, and supply chain software.

- Knowledge of procurement regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
