Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible, disciplined, and caring Hostel Warden to manage the day-to-day operations of our hostel. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment while maintaining discipline and supporting the well-being of all residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily hostel operations and ensure smooth functioning.
- Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with hostel rules and regulations.
- Monitor resident attendance, room occupancy, and visitor records.
- Ensure the safety, security, and welfare of all residents.
- Handle resident concerns, complaints, and emergency situations promptly.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, and security staff.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
- Maintain hostel records, incident reports, and inventory.
- Organize resident meetings and recreational activities when required.
- Coordinate with management regarding hostel operations and improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Hostel Warden, Residential Supervisor, or in hostel/property management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, email, record keeping).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to stay on the hostel premises (if accommodation is provided).
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing student or working professional hostels.
- Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
