Position: VMC / CNC Operator cum Setter
Department: Production
Location: Chennai
Reporting To: Production Supervisor / Production Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC Turning/Milling machines as per process sheets and drawings.
- Load tools, offsets, and work holding fixtures.
- Perform first-piece inspection and obtain approval before production.
- Operate CNC machines to achieve production targets.
- Monitor machine performance and ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Measure components using Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Change tools and adjust offsets as required.
- Maintain production records and inspection reports.
- Follow 5S, safety, and quality requirements.
- Report machine breakdowns, quality issues, and production concerns to supervisors.
Requirements:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of CNC Turning/Machining experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
- Knowledge of Fanuc control preferred.
- Experience in precision component manufacturing.
