Job Summary
Peena Heat Elements LLP (PHE) is a manufacturer of industrial tubular, cartridge, and immersion heating elements serving pharmaceutical, food processing, defence, and industrial sectors. We are hiring a CNC Bending Programmer & Operator to handle programming, setup, and operation of our CNC tube/pipe bending machines at our Santej manufacturing unit. This is a combined role — the right candidate will both write and edit programs and run the machine on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
Programming
- Write, edit, and optimise CNC bending programs for tubular heating element components as per engineering drawings and customer specifications
- Set bending parameters — angle, radius, sequence, springback compensation — for each new job
- Conduct first-article trials and adjust programs until output meets drawing tolerances
- Maintain a library of bending programs for existing and new part numbers in the PHE system
- Coordinate with the Production Manager and design team to ensure programs match the latest drawing revisions
Machine Operation
- Set up and operate CNC tube bending machines for daily production runs
- Load, position, and feed tubes/pipes correctly for each bending operation
- Monitor bending output during production for dimensional accuracy and surface quality
- Perform routine machine checks — tooling condition, lubrication, clamping dies — at the start of each shift
- Detect and report any machine faults, tooling wear, or dimensional deviations immediately
- Maintain production logs and job records in the PHE production software
Quality
- Verify bent components against engineering drawings using measuring instruments
- Identify and segregate rejected or out-of-tolerance parts
- Coordinate with the QC team for in-process inspection of bent components
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI (Turner / Fitter / Machinist) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience on CNC tube/pipe bending machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings — bend angles, radii, dimensions, and tolerances
- Experience writing or editing CNC bending programs (G-code or machine-specific control)
- Familiarity with bending tooling — dies, mandrels, wipers — and their setup
- Basic proficiency in computer use for program storage and production logging
- Good Gujarati/Hindi communication for floor-level coordination
