### ABOUT THE PROJECT
SHAMBALA is a cinematic spiritual content operation producing high-quality YouTube content across 14+ languages. We deliver channeled transmissions from spiritual and galactic beings through cinematic video, professional voice audio, immersive soundscapes, and multi-language distribution.
This is not a hobby channel. This is a professional content operation with a structured production pipeline, defined quality standards, and a global audience strategy.
We are building one of the most ambitious spiritual content networks on YouTube. The editor we hire will be a core part of that mission from day one.
Our production model: AI-generated visual assets (rendered beings, cosmic environments, backgrounds) + professional voice audio + ambient music are delivered to the editor as raw materials. The editor assembles, paces, and polishes these into cinematic final outputs. Think of it as: the AI builds the ingredients, you cook the meal.
---
### THE ROLE
You are the **Visual Assembly Architect** for SHAMBALA.
You receive AI-generated raw visual assets, voice audio tracks, and music — and you transform them into cinematic content that feels like it belongs on a streaming platform, not a YouTube feed.
You are responsible for the final visual and emotional experience the viewer has. Every cut, every transition, every held frame, every moment of silence — that is your craft. The content we produce carries deep meaning for our audience. Your editing must honor that meaning through precision, emotional intelligence, and visual artistry.
**This is not a "cut and upload" role.** We are looking for someone who understands cinematic language — pacing, emotional rhythm, visual storytelling, the power of silence, the impact of a well-timed cut. If you think editing is just trimming clips and adding transitions, this role is not for you.
---
### RESPONSIBILITIES
**Primary — Non-Negotiable:**
1. **Long-form video assembly (25–30 minutes)**
- Receive AI-rendered visual assets (multiple angles, environments, being renders), voice audio, and music
- Assemble into cinematic final video with multi-angle cuts, visual pacing, and emotional rhythm
- Apply cinematic color grading (desaturated, rich tones — teal/gold, deep blue/warm amber palette)
- Add subtle film grain and texture to prevent synthetic appearance
- Integrate the host's (Navi) on-camera framing segments at the opening of each video
- Ensure audio levels are broadcast-quality (voice dominant, music at correct dB levels per segment)
- Deliver final export in YouTube-optimized format
2. **Shorts extraction and creation (15–60 seconds)**
- Watch completed long-form edits and identify the highest-impact 15–30 second and 60-second segments
- Reformat these as standalone vertical Shorts with appropriate visual pacing for mobile consumption
- Add bold, animated captions (essential — 25% of viewers watch with sound off)
- Ensure first frame is a visual pattern interrupt (no slow fades, no logos — immediate visual impact)
- Target: 3–5 Shorts extracted per long-form video
3. **Thumbnail creation**
- Create thumbnails for every video (long-form and Shorts) using frames from the edit or custom compositions from the visual assets
- Follow the SHAMBALA thumbnail system: 3–5 words maximum, high contrast text, cinematic composition, being-specific color coding within unified brand
- Deliver thumbnail as separate high-resolution image
4. **Multi-language adaptation**
- Apply the same editing process to videos in Hindi, Spanish, and additional languages as they come online
- Swap voice tracks and subtitle files per language while maintaining identical visual assembly
- Ensure subtitles are properly timed, legible, and visually integrated (not generic YouTube auto-subs)
**Secondary — Expected as Skills Develop:**
5. **Motion graphics (when required)**
- Create title cards, being introduction sequences, topic transition graphics, and visual motifs for cross-reference content (videos featuring multiple beings discussing the same topic)
- These will be templated over time but initial creation requires design skill
6. **Pattern interrupt placement**
- Strategically place visual pattern interrupts every 5–7 seconds in Shorts (zoom, cut, visual shift, text flash) to maintain retention
- In long-form, place pattern interrupts at natural pacing intervals to prevent viewer drop-off

### QUALITY STANDARDS
These are non-negotiable. Every deliverable must meet
these standards before submission.
**Visual:**
- No visible AI artifacts (glitching, morphing, uncanny
visual errors) in final output — if raw assets contain
artifacts, flag them for re-rendering, do not ship them
- Color grading must be consistent across all videos on
the same channel — the viewer should feel a unified
visual world
- Film grain and texture must be subtle — enhancing
organic feel, not degrading image quality
- Aspect ratios correct: 16:9 for long-form, 9:16 for
Shorts. No exceptions.
**Audio:**
- Voice must be clearly audible and dominant at all times
- Music levels: –15 to –25 dB below voice during speech,
rising to –8 to –12 dB during emotional builds, and
0 to –5 dB during intentional pauses where music takes
the foreground
- No audio clipping, distortion, or sudden level jumps
- Silence is intentional — when a pause exists in the
audio, do not fill it. Silence is a creative tool in
this content.
**Pacing:**
- Long-form: cuts should feel cinematic, not frantic.
Allow frames to breathe. A held shot on a being's
face during a powerful statement is more impactful
than a rapid cut.
- Shorts: cuts must be faster and more dynamic than
long-form. Mobile viewers have shorter attention spans.
But even in Shorts, at least one moment of deliberate
stillness (1–2 seconds) should exist for emotional
impact.
**Delivery:**
- All files delivered via designated cloud folder
- Naming convention: [Language]_[BeingName]_[Topic]_
[Format]_[Date] (exact convention will be provided)
- Thumbnail delivered as separate PNG alongside video
- Turnaround expectations:
- Long-form video: 48 hours from asset delivery
- Shorts batch (3–5): 24 hours from long-form
completion
- Thumbnails: delivered with video, not after
- Revision turnaround: 12 hours

### REQUIRED SKILLS
**Must have:**
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro OR DaVinci Resolve
(DaVinci preferred for color grading capabilities)
- Demonstrated understanding of cinematic pacing and
emotional rhythm (not just technical editing)
- Ability to work with AI-generated visual assets
(you will receive rendered frames, video clips, and
environments — not traditional camera footage)
- Strong audio mixing skills (voice/music/ambient
balancing)
- Subtitle integration experience
- Reliable internet and ability to download/upload
large files efficiently
- Fluent English communication (written — for
receiving briefs and giving status updates)
**Must demonstrate (via sample test):**
- Ability to take raw AI-generated visual assets + voice
audio + music and assemble a 60-second cinematic edit
that demonstrates multi-angle cutting, emotional
pacing, and visual storytelling
- Ability to extract a 15–30 second Shorts cut from a
longer piece with appropriate vertical formatting and
caption overlay
**Strongly preferred:**
- Motion graphics capability (After Effects or
equivalent)
- Thumbnail design skills (Photoshop or Canva Pro at minimum)
- Experience with or genuine interest in spiritual, wellness, or consciousness content
- Experience editing for YouTube specifically (understanding of retention, CTR, and Shorts
optimization)
- Familiarity with YouTube upload specifications and best practices
**Not required:**
- You do not need to be a spiritual practitioner
- You do not need prior experience with AI-generated
content specifically (we will train you on our asset
pipeline)

### HOW TO APPLY
Submit the following:
1. **Portfolio or reel** showing your best cinematic
editing work. We want to see emotional pacing, color
grading, and visual storytelling — not just technical
competence. If you have spiritual/wellness content in
your portfolio, highlight it.
2. **Brief written statement** (3–5 sentences): Why does
this role interest you? What does "cinematic editing"
mean to you?
3. **Availability:** When can you start? How many hours
per week are you available initially?
**Shortlisted candidates will receive a paid sample test**
using actual SHAMBALA raw assets. The test will involve
assembling a 60-second cinematic edit and extracting a
15–30 second Shorts cut. You will be compensated for the
test regardless of outcome.

### WHAT WE DO NOT TOLERATE
To be direct: this is a professional operation with high
standards. The following will result in immediate
termination of the working relationship:
- **Missed deadlines without prior communication.** If
you cannot meet a deadline, communicate early. Silence
followed by a missed delivery is unacceptable.
- **Delivering work that does not meet the stated quality
standards.** We provide clear specifications. We expect
them to be followed. If something is unclear, ask
before delivering — not after.
- **Uploading, sharing, or distributing any SHAMBALA
content or raw assets outside of the designated
delivery channels.** All content is confidential until
published. Violation of this is a breach of trust and
will be treated as such.
- **Using SHAMBALA assets for personal projects, reels,
or portfolio without explicit written permission.**
- **Consistent need for excessive revision rounds.**
Occasional revisions are normal. If every deliverable
requires 3+ revision cycles, it indicates a
misalignment in quality standards that we will address
directly.
We are building something meaningful. We invest in our
team, we communicate clearly, we pay fairly, and we
expect professional commitment in return. If that
alignment exists, this will be an exceptional working
relationship.
