As part of the Talent Development Program, candidates will undergo structured training to build core technical
competencies. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, safety, and quality awareness required for successful
performance on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Development Program (Training Topics)
Trainees will be trained in the following areas and are expected to maintain proper documentation and
update their progress status card:
Engineering Drawing Reading
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Overview of Manufacturing Processes
Introduction to Cutting Technologies
Measurement Equipment Usage
Basics of Operating CNC Machines
2. Post-Training Responsibilities
Upon successful completion of training, the candidate will:
Machine Preparation & Setup
Prepare CNC machines by checking attachments, loading tools and parts, calibrating machines, and setting up
feeding mechanisms according to the job instructions.
Operational Monitoring
Operate CNC machines as per process guidelines, ensuring adherence to quality and productivity standards.
Part Inspection
Conduct in-process and final inspection using appropriate measuring tools to ensure that parts conform to
specifications.
Error Detection & Correction
Observe machine behaviour for malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make necessary parameter

or program adjustments to correct issues.
Work Area Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area following 5S standards and inspect machines and
tools at the end of each shift.
Documentation & Shift Handover
Record all machine operations, production quantities, and quality checks in logs. Accurately communicate
shift-wise updates for seamless continuity.
Routine Maintenance
Perform basic preventive maintenance on assigned CNC machines to ensure uninterrupted performance and
machine longevity.

Education & Experience:
Educational Qualification: BE in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering from
Polytechnic / GTTC / NTTF.
Core Skills & Attributes
Good understanding of basic mathematics and its application in measurements and machining.
Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing processes and CNC machine operations.
Self-disciplined, with a strong interest in learning and developing technical skills.
Career-oriented, motivated, and eager to grow within the manufacturing/engineering domain.
Preferred Certifications:
i. CNC Machine Operation & Programming Certification
From recognized institutions such as GTTC, NTTF, or NSDC-approved training centres.
ii. Basic Metrology / Measurement Tools Certification
Covering the usage of Vernier calliper, micrometre, height gauge, and dial indicators, enhancing accuracy in
part inspection.
