Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen Operations: Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure compliance with quality standards and recipes.
- Staff Management: Supervise, schedule, train, and mentor kitchen personnel (line cooks, prep cooks).
- Inventory & Purchasing: Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to minimize waste.
- Safety & Sanitation: Enforce strict compliance with food safety (HACCP), sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the Team on new menu items and seasonal changes.
- Leadership: Lead the kitchen line during service, handling last-minute issues and ensuring timely food service.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a junior Sous Chef, Senior CDP etc in a quality obsessed kitchen.
- Culinary Expertise: Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, menu planning, and ingredient quality.
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to manage a team under pressure and communicate effectively.
- Certification: Culinary school cerificate is preferred, and food safety certification is often required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in kitchen equipment operation and inventory management software.
