1. Architectural Modeling & Technical Delivery
• Oversee and execute high-quality architectural BIM modeling from schematic design (SD) through construction documentation (CD).
• Translate architectural sketches, PDFs, and design concepts into precise, parametric 3D models and comprehensive construction drawings.
• Author and manage complex architectural families, templates, and project parameters to ensure model agility and data integrity.
2. Mentorship & Team Empowerment
- Act as the frontline technical mentor for architectural modelers and junior leads, setting the bar for modeling speed and quality.
- Conduct regular internal peer reviews and quality audits to drastically minimize revisions and modeling errors.
- Upskill the team on advanced platform features, automation shortcuts, and international drafting conventions.
3. Integrated Coordination & Optimization
- Lead the Clash Detection and Resolution process, coordinating proactively with Structural and MEP engineering teams to ensure a completely integrated, clash-free model before field deployment.
- Optimize models for constructability, material efficiency, and aesthetic alignment.
- Standardize workflows to maximize throughput and achieve aggressive Turnaround Time (TAT) targets. 4. Codes, Standards & Lifecycle Integration
- Ensure all architectural elements strictly comply with regional and international building codes (e.g., IBC, UK Building Regulations, ADA accessibility standards).
- Establish and enforce strict BIM protocols (LOD 100 to LOD 500) aligned with global standards like ISO 19650.
Technical Mastery:
• Expert-level command of Autodesk Revit Architecture, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with computational design tools (e.g., Dynamo, Rhino/Grasshopper) for workflow automation is highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of building materials, detailing, construction documentation, and how architectural intent interacts with structural and MEP systems.
Leadership & Mindset:
- Commercial Vision: Ability to deliver high-design aesthetics within tight, billable project timelines.
- Radical Ownership: A proactive problem-solver who steps up to resolve coordination blockers before they impact the client.
- Communication: Crisp and articulate communication skills to effectively translate complex spatial challenges to cross-functional engineering teams.
