About the Role
AvatarX is looking for a Cloud & DevOps Engineer to build, manage, and scale the cloud infrastructure powering the entire AvatarX ecosystem. You will be responsible for designing secure, reliable, and highly available infrastructure while enabling rapid software delivery across all AvatarX products.
As one of the first engineering hires, you will establish the cloud architecture, deployment pipelines, monitoring systems, and infrastructure automation that support a growing multi-product platform.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
Manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and containerized applications.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Configure networking, security groups, IAM, and cloud resources.
Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
Automate deployments, scaling, backups, and disaster recovery.
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize application deployments.
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure platform reliability.
Document infrastructure and operational processes.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud Services.
Experience with Docker and containerization.
Knowledge of Kubernetes.
Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
Linux system administration.
CI/CD using GitHub Actions or similar platforms.
Networking fundamentals (DNS, Load Balancers, VPC, SSL/TLS).
Git and GitHub workflows.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
