Job Description
We are looking for a Production Engineer to join our engineering manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, fabrication supervision, quality control, process improvement, and ensuring timely manufacturing of road construction machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily and weekly production schedules.
- Supervise fabrication activities including welding, cutting, machining, and assembly.
- Ensure product quality and minimize defects and rework.
- Improve productivity through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process optimization.
- Coordinate with the purchase team for timely material availability.
- Monitor machine maintenance and ensure workplace safety compliance.
- Maintain production reports, documentation, and performance records.
Required Skills
- Experience in fabrication and engineering manufacturing.
- Knowledge of welding, plasma cutting, bending, machining, and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/SolidWorks and ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and quality standards is an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Heavy fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing.
- Exposure to AWS, ASME, ISO standards, or automated fabrication processes.
