Senior Data Engineer (Dataform / BigQuery)

Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and build scalable data systems and pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ETL/ELT workflows, cloud platforms, and modern data transformation tools, with exposure to large-scale data environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
- Implement data transformation and modeling using tools such as Dataform or dbt
- Develop and optimize data solutions on cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Work with BigQuery or other data warehouse technologies
- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions
- Apply data governance, data quality, and best practices across the data lifecycle
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues
- Support data migration initiatives and contribute to modern data architecture practices
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–10 years of experience in data engineering
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipeline design and data workflow orchestration
- Hands-on experience with Dataform, dbt, BigQuery, or similar tools
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Strong proficiency in SQL and programming in Python
- Experience with data modeling, including Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)
- Ability to build and maintain scalable data pipelines
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Spark or PySpark
- Exposure to data migration or modern data architectures
- Experience in data-driven environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
