Role description
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in test automation, API testing, database validation, and emerging GenAI technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of web applications and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks using Cucumber BDD for behavior-driven testing.
- Develop and execute API test automation using REST Assured.
- Perform database validation and data integrity testing using JDBC and SQL queries.
- Create, execute, and maintain functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Generate test reports, metrics, and quality dashboards.
- Leverage Generative AI (GenAI) tools to improve test case generation, test data creation, defect analysis, and automation productivity.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to quality engineering best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Java programming.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver automation.
- Experience implementing Cucumber BDD frameworks with Gherkin.
- Strong API testing experience using REST Assured.
- Experience with JDBC for database connectivity and validation.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of TestNG or JUnit frameworks.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools.
- Knowledge of Git version control systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and software testing lifecycle.
