Key Responsibilities
Design and build advanced applications for the Android Automotive OS (AAOS) platform -
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new in-vehicle features

Develop and maintain Android components in Java/Kotlin (C++ is a plus)

Extend Android at the system level (System Services, HALs, SDK extensions)

Write unit and UI tests to ensure robustness, reliability, and performance
-
Diagnose and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and UI/UX issues
-
Contribute to architectural decisions and design reviews
-
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and incorporate best practices

Guide junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team

Work in an Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and CI/CD environment using tools like Git, GitLab, and Jenkins
Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

5+ years of professional experience in Android development

Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin; familiarity with C++ is a strong advantage

Deep understanding of AAOS architecture, HALs, Soong build system, and Android SDK
-
Experience with Android application and system-level architecture

Knowledge of object-oriented programming and design principles

Experience with unit testing, UI testing, and debugging tools

Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and CI/CD pipelines
-
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude

Effective communication skills in business-fluent English

Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment
