Job Description
We are looking for a Node.JS Web Application Developer responsible for developing REST APIs. Primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
Responsibilities
- Developing Node.JS based backend applications
- Delivering well written REST APIs: API Definitions, end-to-end service design and implementation
- Writing good quality, modular, reusable, performant, well documented, unit-tested code
Mandatory Skills
- Strong skills in Node.JS, with good knowledge of Express Framework
- Good understanding of server-side templating languages (such as Jade or EJS)
- Good Understanding of differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimising output to match the specific platform
- Strong coding/programming & application development experience
- Excellent problem solving abilities. Very good HackerRank/HackerEarth score will be a plus
- Good knowledge of working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
- Professional, precise communication skills
- Working knowledge of Git
Optional Skills
- Knowledge of working with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of any ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries that works with NodeJS
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Knowledge of working with cloud environments such as AWS
- Knowledge of DevOps tools & practices
