Position Description
Degree Expectation & certification:
. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent.
. Professional Security Certifications (such as the CSSLP or similar) would be a plus.
Experience Expectation:
. 6 - 9 years in Development or applications or tools with strong exposure in Python, Microsoft Power Platform and/or Go Lang programming language exposure.
. Good knowledge of industry best practice and recommendations for managing security in software development, and knowledge of related standards like Open SAMM and OWASP.
. Familiarity with security compliance standards (mainly PCI DSS, GDPR, SOC1/SOC2, ISO 27K, and NIS2), and enterprise risk management.
. Advocacy experience in engineering would be a strong plus.
. Experience in Agile methodology or Safe.
. Hands on knowledge of Amadeus development environment, toolchains, applications, enterprise architecture, and familiarity with the Amadeus business needs and those of our customers will be a big plus.
Key Responsibilities:
. Design and develop security tooling using Python, Go lang, and Microsoft Power Platform, with integration across modern data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric) and cloud environments
. Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (or similar data platforms) for data integration, analytics, and pipeline orchestration
. Own the evolution of SDL tooling and capabilities, ensuring alignment with business needs, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
. Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to understand the requirements and deliver the features with desired quality and within timeline
. Participate in methodology, processes & tool selection based on industry best practice.
. Participate in hands on exploration and evaluation of new security tools, in collaboration with all key actors, especially the Engineering Toolchain TISO (Technical Information Security Officer).
. Contribute to security awareness and capability building through training, coaching, and active engagement with the engineering community to promote secure by design principles
. Provide high quality communication for presentations and coaching.
. Help define the Amadeus answer to all security and compliance risks related to software engineering and the code we develop in Amadeus.
. Strengthen the SDL training capabilities, by providing internal training and coaching across all organizations.
. Advocate SDL in the Engineering Community to foster built in security by design and by default for all code developed in Amadeus, including everything as code, Cloud Native Applications, and applications using AI.
. Good understanding of cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure), including core services, networking, and security fundamentals
. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate and support production grade systems in a high availability environment
Deliverables / Outcomes:
. Develop and own scalable security tooling platforms enabling automated SDL workflows (scanning, triage, reporting) across teams
. Drive automation to improve operational efficiency, significantly reducing manual effort and accelerating triage and delivery cycles
. Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines to enable shift left security with high adoption across engineering teams
. Deliver reliable, high-performance tools with low false positives and enterprise scale usability
. Enable data driven security insights and compliance through dashboards, metrics, and automated audit support, strengthening overall security posture and platform resilience
