JOB TITLE: MT – Key Account Manager (Beverage Industry)

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Management Trainee – Key Account Manager will support the management and growth of key beverage accounts across Modern Trade, HoReCa, QSRs, distributors, and institutional clients. The role focuses on account servicing, order execution, secondary sales support, visibility execution, and relationship building, with the objective of grooming the candidate into an independent Key Account Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Key Account & Channel Management
- Support handling of key beverage accounts across MT, GT, HoReCa, QSRs, and institutions
- Coordinate with distributors and channel partners for order execution and replenishment
- Ensure timely order placement, dispatch, and delivery to accounts
- Maintain strong day-to-day relationships with buyers and store managers
2. Sales Execution & Growth Support
- Assist in driving primary and secondary sales for assigned accounts
- Support account-wise volume targets, SKU mix, and range expansion
- Track outlet-level sales, offtake, and inventory levels
- Identify upselling and new SKU introduction opportunities
3. Trade Marketing & Visibility Execution
- Ensure in-store visibility as per brand guidelines (chillers, racks, danglers, POSM)
- Support promotions, schemes, samplings, and activations at store / campus / HoReCa level
- Monitor pricing, discounting, and competitor activity in outlets
4. Client Coordination & Relationship Management
- Coordinate with modern trade buying teams and HoReCa procurement teams
- Support negotiations on pricing, promotions, and commercial terms under guidance
- Handle routine client queries, claims, and basic escalations
5. Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track competitor brands, pricing, packs, and promotional activity
- Maintain sales MIS, outlet mapping, and account performance reports
- Support demand forecasting and replenishment planning
6. Process & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal SOPs, credit norms, and approval processes
- Maintain accurate documentation for pricing, schemes, and agreements
- Support CRM updates and data accuracy
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- High execution focus and field orientation
- Analytical ability and attention to detail
- Ability to work in fast-moving, target-driven FMCG environment
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools
QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA / PGDM (Sales / Marketing preferred)
- 1–8 years of experience in FMCG / Beverages / Food & Drinks
- Willingness to travel and work in the field

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
