Job Title: EPC Project Engineer – Solar
Job Summary
The EPC Project Engineer – Solar is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects from design to commissioning. The role involves site execution, client coordination, vendor management, project monitoring, and ensuring timely completion of solar EPC projects while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end execution of solar EPC projects.
- Coordinate site survey, design, procurement, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Supervise installation teams, subcontractors, and site technicians.
- Review solar plant layouts, SLDs, electrical drawings, and BOQs.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure timely project completion.
- Coordinate with clients, DISCOM authorities, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ensure proper installation of solar panels, inverters, structures, AC/DC cabling, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
- Conduct site inspections, quality checks, testing, and commissioning.
- Track project materials, inventory, and site documentation.
- Prepare DPRs, progress reports, and project updates.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical regulations.
- Support net metering and project handover activities.
Required Qualifications
- BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical, EEE, ECE, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy.
- 2–5 years of experience in Solar EPC project execution.
- Knowledge of rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems.
- Familiarity with solar inverters, electrical systems, and commissioning procedures.
- Ability to read AutoCAD drawings, SLDs, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and reporting tools.
- Strong communication and team coordination skills.
