Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced MEP Project Engineer with 15+ years of experience in managing and executing MEP projects from planning and design coordination through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, project coordination, site management, subcontractor supervision, client coordination, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage MEP works throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations.
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and material submittals.
- Coordinate MEP activities with civil, architectural, structural, and other project teams.
- Supervise subcontractors, technicians, and site engineering teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to approved schedules.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure MEP works comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and project requirements.
- Review technical submissions, shop drawings, material approvals, and inspection requests.
- Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues.
- Monitor installation quality and ensure proper testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Prepare and review project schedules, progress reports, and technical documentation.
- Manage project resources, manpower, materials, and equipment effectively.
- Identify project risks, delays, and technical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and maintain safe working practices.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical updates to management and clients.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, and final project handover.
- Ensure proper preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant MEP project experience.
- Strong experience in large-scale construction, commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in MEP project execution and site management.
- Strong knowledge of international MEP standards, codes, and regulations.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple MEP activities and meet project deadlines.
- GCC experience will be an advantage.
