Key Responsibilities :-
1. Electrical System Operation & Maintenance
Maintain HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, and electrical panels.
Ensure uninterrupted power supply to production areas and utilities.
Inspect and maintain motors, pumps, and electrical drives used in the IPA process.
2. Production Equipment Support
Provide electrical support to equipment used in IPA manufacturing such as:
Distillation columns
Reactors
Transfer pumps
Storage and loading systems
Ensure proper functioning of electrical components in production equipment.
3. Utility Electrical Maintenance
Maintain electrical systems related to plant utilities including:
Boilers
Cooling towers
Air compressors
Chillers
Solvent storage systems
4. Preventive Maintenance
Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
5. Instrumentation & Automation Support
Assist with PLC panels, sensors, control systems, and instrumentation used in the IPA manufacturing process.
Support troubleshooting of automated process controls.
6. Safety and Compliance
Ensure electrical installations comply with plant safety standards and hazardous area requirements.
Maintain proper earthing and explosion-proof electrical systems in solvent handling areas.
Follow safety guidelines for flammable chemicals like IPA.
7. Documentation and Reporting
Maintain electrical drawings, maintenance records, and breakdown reports.
Support plant audits and safety inspections.
Required Skills
Knowledge of electrical panels, motors, and power distribution systems
Understanding of industrial automation and PLC systems
Troubleshooting and maintenance skills
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or solvent manufacturing plants preferred.
