About the Maths Teacher role
As a Mathematics Teacher at AIS, you will be responsible for teaching mathematics to students in Grade 6 onwards and creating lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum development. You will be responsible for encouraging students to develop their problem-solving skills, mathematical reasoning, and logical thinking.
Role Overview
- Teach Mathematics to students in Grades 7–9, following the Cambridge Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary curriculum.
- Plan and deliver engaging, concept-driven Mathematics lessons that develop students’ mathematical understanding, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, participation and independent learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics Education and Curriculum Development
- Ability to create engaging and challenging lesson plans
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in teaching in an international school is a plus
