Landchester Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a motivated Geotechnical Site Engineer to join our growing team. This position is suitable for freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who are interested in geotechnical engineering, field testing, soil investigation, and construction-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in carrying out geotechnical investigations and field testing at project sites.
- Assist with Pile Load Tests, Plate Load Tests, Pile Integrity Tests (PIT), soil investigation and other geotechnical tests.
- Monitor site activities and ensure testing is carried out as per approved procedures and specifications.
- Take field measurements, maintain site records and prepare daily reports.
- Assist in installation and monitoring of dial gauges, hydraulic jacks, pressure gauges and other testing instruments.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors and site personnel during testing activities.
- Prepare test data, observations and basic technical reports.
- Ensure proper handling, calibration and safe use of testing equipment.
- Travel to different project sites as required.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain proper site documentation.
- Learn and develop practical knowledge of geotechnical testing and foundation engineering.
Eligibility
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or M.E./M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with 0–2 year of experience in geotechnical/site work will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.
- Willingness to work at construction/project sites.
- Willingness to travel for project requirements.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of Pile Load Testing, PIT, Plate Load Testing and soil investigation.
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Good observation and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn practical geotechnical engineering.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
