Role Summary
The Finishing Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day supervision, coordination, and quality control of all finishing activities on site, ensuring that works are executed as per drawings, specifications, and agreed timelines. You will play a key role in stabilizing site execution, minimizing rework, and driving snag-free handovers for each floor/zone. This role demands strong technical finishing knowledge, meticulous documentation, and proactive coordination with contractors and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily finishing activities (flooring, tiling, plaster, painting, false ceiling, doors/windows, toilets, joinery, basic façade interfaces) in line with approved drawings, specifications, and work schedules.
- Review and interpret civil, architectural, and reflected ceiling drawings, finishing details, and MEP coordination layouts; highlight discrepancies and drive timely resolution with the design/consultant team.
- Monitor contractor/subcontractor performance on site, allocate work fronts, verify workmanship and material usage, and ensure adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and project timelines.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes for finishing works, including checklists, inspections, mock-ups, snagging/de-snagging, and documentation of NCRs and closure.
- Prepare and update Daily Progress Reports (DPR), snag lists, and closure reports; track progress against targets and support look-ahead planning with the PMC project manager.
- Coordinate closely with MEP teams for cut-outs, sleeves, fixtures, and services interfaces to avoid clashes and rework, especially in toilets, ceilings, and wall finishes.
- Support phased handovers and final handover by ensuring punch-list closure, as-built documentation support, and client/architect walk-throughs for finishing-related items.
Must Have

- 2-5 years of site execution experience in finishing works for commercial or high-end residential projects (flooring, tiling, plaster, painting, false ceiling, doors/windows, toilets, joinery, basic façade interfaces)

- Prior experience working with a consultant/PMC on commercial office or corporate interior projects
- Exposure to fast-track fit-out projects with strict timelines and phased handovers
- Basic knowledge of quantity take-off for finishing items and material reconciliation
- Experience in client/architect/PMC coordination meetings for finishing-related issues
- Familiarity with ISO/QA systems or structured quality management processes at site
