We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with a strong background in COBOL, JCL, and DB2 to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have solid analytical and programming skills, good communication abilities, and flexibility to work on both development and maintenance projects in an agile environment.
Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
Participate in the full SDLC – from requirement analysis and coding to testing and implementation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Perform debugging, performance tuning, and defect fixing.
Work in both development and maintenance projects with a focus on reliability and performance.
Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
COBOL – Strong hands-on experience in development and maintenance.
DB2 – Good working knowledge in writing and optimizing queries.
JCL – Proficient in writing, debugging, and maintaining job control language scripts.
Minimum of 7 years of total and relevant mainframe development experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Flexible and proactive in handling both new development and maintenance work.
