Position Summary
The Nursing Staff at Belvaa Senior Care is responsible for delivering high-quality, resident-centered nursing care to senior citizens requiring assisted living, rehabilitation, transition care, dementia care, and palliative care. The nurse ensures residents receive safe, compassionate, and dignified care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care
- Assess, monitor, and document residents' health conditions and vital signs.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, Parkinson's disease, stroke recovery, and dementia-related concerns.
- Identify early signs of deterioration and escalate to doctors promptly.
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate nursing records and care documentation.
Elder Care & Daily Living Support
- Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, hygiene, grooming, feeding, and toileting when required.
- Ensure resident comfort, dignity, privacy, and emotional well-being.
- Provide companionship and reassurance to residents and families.
- Encourage resident participation in rehabilitation and wellness activities.
Rehabilitation & Recovery Support
- Assist physiotherapists and rehabilitation teams in implementing recovery plans.
- Monitor progress of post-surgical, orthopedic, stroke, and neurological rehabilitation residents.
- Support safe transfers, mobility exercises, and fall prevention initiatives.
Dementia & Palliative Care
- Deliver compassionate care to residents with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and cognitive impairment.
- Monitor behavioral changes and implement safety protocols.
- Provide comfort-focused nursing care for palliative and end-of-life residents.
- Support families through difficult care transitions with empathy and professionalism.
Infection Control & Safety
- Follow infection prevention and control protocols.
- Ensure medication safety and proper storage.
- Maintain emergency preparedness and respond effectively to medical emergencies.
- Adhere to nursing standards, clinical guidelines, and facility policies.
Family Communication
- Provide regular updates to families regarding residents' health and progress.
- Address concerns professionally and compassionately.
- Participate in care planning discussions with doctors, therapists, and family members.
QualificationsEssential
- GNM, B.Sc Nursing, or equivalent recognized nursing qualification.
- Valid nursing registration.
- 1–5 years of nursing experience (geriatric, rehabilitation, ICU, medical-surgical, or assisted living experience preferred).
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills.
Preferred
- Experience in senior care, dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitation, or assisted living environments.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Knowledge of elderly care protocols and fall prevention.
