PRODUCTION IN-CHARGE – PRECISION MANUFACTURING
VMC / CNC Precision Machining Production & Industrialization
Location: Near Hubli, Karnataka
Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical
Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar Production / Manufacturing role
ROLE
Lead day-to-day production of precision-engineered components, ensuring quality, productivity, delivery and process discipline across VMC/CNC machining and related manufacturing activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Management
- Plan, monitor and achieve daily/monthly production targets.
- Manage VMC/CNC machining, assembly and related production activities.
- Improve machine utilization, productivity, cycle time and delivery.
- Monitor production KPIs, manpower and machine capacity.
Precision Manufacturing
- Strong practical understanding of VMC machining, tooling, fixtures and machining processes.
- Support process planning, machining trials and production stabilization.
- Troubleshoot dimensional variation, surface finish, tool wear and machining issues.
- Ensure production meets tight tolerances, quality and repeatability requirements.
New Product Industrialization
- Drive Prototype → Process Development → Trial → Validation → Production.
- Coordinate with Design, CAM, Quality and Production teams.
- Establish and improve SOPs, process plans, work instructions and inspection controls.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Identify root causes of rejection, rework and process variation.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive improvements in quality, productivity, cost and process capability.
Vendor & Subcontract Management
- Identify, evaluate and develop precision machining vendors.
- Monitor vendor quality, cost, capacity and delivery.
- Coordinate subcontract machining and special processes.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop engineers, supervisors, operators and technicians.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety, quality and production discipline.
- Build a skilled and accountable production team.

A hands-on production leader, not just a production coordinator, who can effectively manage:
Planning → Machining → Quality → Troubleshooting → Team → Vendors → Delivery
and take ownership of precision manufacturing from process development to stable production.
