The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, and maintaining uninterrupted supply of materials, services, and equipment required for business operations.
Key Responsibilities1. Procurement Planning & Sourcing
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
- Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, capital equipment, and services.
- Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities.
2. Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, cost, and service levels.
- Conduct periodic supplier audits and performance reviews.
- Develop alternate vendor sources to mitigate supply risks.
3. Cost Management & Negotiation
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and service agreements.
- Drive cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
- Monitor market trends and commodity price movements.
- Achieve annual procurement savings targets.
4. Contract & Compliance Management
- Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts and purchase agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and procurement procedures.
- Maintain procurement documentation and records.
5. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinate with production, planning, stores, and logistics teams.
- Ensure optimum inventory levels while minimizing carrying costs.
- Prevent stock-outs and supply disruptions.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor procurement executives and buyers.
- Set performance goals and monitor team productivity.
- Promote best procurement practices and continuous improvement.
7. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare procurement MIS reports and spend analysis.
- Track procurement KPIs and supplier performance metrics.
- Present procurement performance reports to management
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
