Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Designer to develop and prepare complete HVAC system designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The candidate should have a deep understanding of HVAC principles, heat load calculations, duct and piping design, and relevant building codes. The HVAC Designer will work closely with project teams, clients, and consultants to ensure that system designs are efficient, compliant, and cost-effective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and understand project requirements for HVAC system design.
- Perform heat load calculations.
- Design ducting layouts, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, and ventilation systems.
- Select HVAC equipment (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF systems, exhaust fans, etc.) based on technical specifications and project needs.
- Prepare detailed HVAC design drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting design teams to avoid service clashes.
- Ensure designs comply with ISHRAE, ASHRAE, NBC, and other applicable codes/standards.
- Generate BOQ (Bill of Quantities), material take-offs, and assist in tender documentation.
- Provide technical support to the site execution team during installation and commissioning stages.
- Revise and update drawings as per site conditions or client instructions.
