- Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, setting a positive tone for their visit.
- Seating Management: Escort customers to their assigned tables, provide menus, and introduce them to their server.
- Reservation & Waitlist Management: Handle incoming calls, schedule bookings, and manage wait times accurately during busy hours.
- Team Coordination: Communicate with waitstaff, bussers, and kitchen staff to monitor table turnover and ensure smooth service flow.
- Ambiance Maintenance: Ensure the reception area, host stand, and dining room entrances are clean, organized, and presentable.
- Guest Assistance: Address customer queries, handle initial complaints with professionalism, and cater to guests requiring extra attention
- Communication Skills: Clear, polite, and engaging verbal communication.
- Stress Management: Ability to remain calm, friendly, and composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Multitasking: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks (phones, seating, waitlists) simultaneously.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with modern reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, SevenRooms) and basic POS systems is a significant advantage.
