Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Engineer to manage project billing, quantity verification, client invoicing, and contractor bill processing. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate bills, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring timely submission and certification of invoices in line with project progress and contractual terms.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare client bills, contractor bills, and running account (RA) bills based on work progress.
- Verify measurements, quantities, and work completed at project sites.
- Prepare BOQs, quantity estimations, and rate analysis.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and vendors for billing documentation.
- Ensure timely submission and follow-up of invoices for certification and payment.
- Maintain billing records, work orders, contracts, and supporting documents.
- Reconcile quantities executed versus billed quantities.
- Track variations, extra items, and change orders for billing purposes.
- Assist in project cost monitoring and budget tracking.
- Review subcontractor bills and ensure accuracy before processing.
- Prepare MIS reports related to billing, project progress, and outstanding payments.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and billing procedures.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of billing processes, BOQs, and quantity surveying.
- Understanding of civil, interior, and construction execution works.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong coordination and documentation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and billing/software tools.
- Attention to detail and deadline management.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Certification in Quantity Surveying or Estimation will be an added advantage.
