The Apple Services Engineering Infrastructure team builds the next generation of platforms that empower Apple engineers to create products our customers love. We ensure the reliability and availability of mission-critical services like iCloud, Maps, Apple Music, Apple TV+, Podcasts, and the App Store, enjoyed by billions of users worldwide. We manage massive-scale NoSQL and distributed database systems, and we're looking for an advanced engineer who can independently take ownership of complex problems, drive cross-functional solutions, and contribute to the technical direction of the team.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science or Similar
Experience with NoSQL technologies such as Apache Cassandra.
Knowledge of infrastructure domains such as storage systems and networking.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, or distributed systems.
Established technical expertise with a strong track record of leading projects of significant complexity, ambiguity, and cross-functional scope.
Strong problem-solving ability with sound judgment in evaluating technical risks, tradeoffs, and solution options.
Experience managing and scaling distributed systems in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Ruby, or Java.
Solid understanding of Linux operating systems, networking protocols, and infrastructure components.
Hands-on experience with configuration management or software delivery platforms such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Spinnaker.
Experience deploying, supporting, and monitoring large-scale distributed services and application stacks.
Experience with scale testing, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
