Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver to transport company materials safely and on time to customer locations across Tamil Nadu and occasionally to other states. The candidate should be willing to travel, stay overnight when required and ensure the safe handling of company vehicles and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive heavy vehicles safely and responsibly to customer locations.
- Deliver materials on time and obtain customer acknowledgment/signature on delivery documents.
- Transport materials across Tamil Nadu and occasionally to other states.
- Be willing to travel long distances and stay overnight (halt) whenever required.
- Load and unload materials with the assistance of the site/store team when necessary.
- Ensure the safe handling of materials during transportation.
- Maintain the vehicle in clean and good working condition.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain trip logs, fuel records, and delivery documentation.
- Follow all traffic rules and company safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the logistics, store, and operations teams for delivery schedules.
- Assist with material pickup from transport offices, suppliers, or warehouses when required.
Requirements
- Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (HMV License) is mandatory.
- Minimum 1–5 years of heavy vehicle driving experience.
- Willing to travel throughout Tamil Nadu and occasionally to other states.
- Willing to stay overnight during outstation trips.
- Good knowledge of road routes and traffic regulations.
- Physically fit and able to assist with loading and unloading when required.
- Responsible, punctual and disciplined.
Qualification
- SSLC / HSC or equivalent.
- Experience in industrial material transportation will be an added advantage.
