We are looking for a passionate and politically aware Senior Executive – Public Relations (Political Communications) to join our growing team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in political communications, election campaigns, political consulting, or government communications, with the ability to manage media relations and shape compelling narratives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic public relations campaigns for political leaders, public affairs initiatives, and election campaigns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, political editors, bureau chiefs, and media professionals across print, television, digital, and regional media.
- Draft press releases, media advisories, speeches, opinion articles, briefing notes, talking points, and official statements.
- Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, television appearances, and other public engagements.
- Identify proactive media opportunities and manage timely communication during political developments.
- Monitor political news, legislative developments, and public discourse to identify communication opportunities and potential risks.
- Support crisis communication and reputation management initiatives.
- Collaborate with campaign teams, research teams, spokespersons, and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging.
- Track media coverage, prepare media reports, and provide actionable communication insights.
- Support policy announcements, advocacy campaigns, and strategic communication initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Political Science, or a related field.
- 2–2.5 years of experience in political communications, political PR, election campaigns, public affairs, government communications, or political consulting.
- Prior experience working with a political party, elected representative (MP/MLA), political consultancy, advocacy organization, or government office will be highly preferred.
- Strong media network across national, regional, print, television, and digital platforms.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the Indian political ecosystem, government policies, and current affairs.
- Experience in media monitoring, stakeholder management, and reputation management.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel based on campaign or client requirements.
