About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Company Secretary (CS) with a strong background in a Practicing Company Secretary (PCS) firm. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional leadership, compliance management, and client-handling skills. You will be responsible for leading a team, managing statutory and ROC compliances, and ensuring that all clients’ corporate governance obligations are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Compliance & Regulatory Management
Ensure all ROC filings, annual returns, and event-based compliances are completed accurately and on time.
Prepare and review Board Resolutions, Minutes, Notices, and other statutory documents.
Keep updated with the latest amendments in Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI, LLP Act, and other related regulations.
Manage and maintain statutory registers, records, and returns.
2. Client Management & Revenue Growth
Generate revenue from assigned clients through advisory, retainer, and compliance services.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients through proactive communication and guidance.
3. Team Leadership & Escalation Handling
Lead and mentor a team of junior associates and compliance executives.
Review work completed by team members and provide constructive feedback.
Handle escalations effectively and ensure timely resolution.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of client deliverables and compliance trackers.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for compliance and documentation.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Escalations handled effectively
- Revenue generated from assigned clients
- Team productivity and performance metrics
- On-time delivery of compliance filings and reports
Requirements:
Qualification: Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of post-qualification experience in a PCS firm (mandatory).
Skills:
- Strong understanding of ROC, FEMA, and SEBI compliances
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and corporate laws
- Diligent, methodical, and organized with outstanding planning skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
Availability: Immediate joiners preferred.
Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Chennai is mandatory.
