The Senior Executive - State MIS is responsible for managing, maintaining, and strengthening the Management Information System (MIS) at the state level. The role ensures accurate data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting to support program implementation, monitoring, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. MIS Management & Data Systems
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of MIS across all project locations in the state.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry into MIS platforms.
- Monitor data quality and consistency across centers.
- Provide technical support for MIS-related issues.
2. Data Collection & Validation
- Develop and standardize data collection processes and formats.
- Conduct regular data verification and validation checks.
- Coordinate with field teams to resolve discrepancies in data.
3. Reporting & Analysis
- Generate periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) as required.
- Analyze data trends to support program planning and performance monitoring.
- Share insights and dashboards with state and national teams.
4. Capacity Building
- Train and support field staff on MIS tools, data entry protocols, and reporting formats.
- Develop user manuals and training materials for MIS systems.
5. Coordination & Communication
- Act as a liaison between state teams and central MIS/IT teams.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to donors and stakeholders.
- Participate in review meetings and provide data-driven inputs.
6. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to organizational data policies and confidentiality standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of MIS processes and updates.
Key Deliverables
- Accurate and timely MIS reports.
- Clean, validated, and up-to-date database.
- Functional MIS system across all centers in the state.
- Regular data analysis reports for decision-making.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in MIS, data management, or program monitoring.
- Experience in development sector projects is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, dashboards, pivot tables).
- Knowledge of MIS tools, databases, and reporting software.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to train and support field teams.
Core Competencies
Fluency in English (both oral and written)
Must be familiar with local language
