Role and Responsibilities of Fashion Studio In-Charge
A Fashion Studio Lab In-Charge manages fashion laboratories, ensures equipment functions properly, maintains safety standards, and supports teaching, learning, and practical activities.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Laboratory Management
Maintain fashion laboratories, pattern-making labs, garment construction labs, textile labs.
Ensure laboratories are clean, organized, and ready for practical sessions.
Monitor laboratory facility use by students and faculty.
2. Equipment Maintenance
Maintain sewing machines, overlock machines, embroidery machines, pressing equipment, mannequins, and CAD systems.
Arrange regular servicing and repairs of laboratory equipment.
Keep records of equipment maintenance and calibration.
3. Inventory Management
Maintain stock registers for fabrics, threads, trims, accessories, dyes, chemicals, and laboratory consumables.
Monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement when required.
Verify and document the receipt and issue of materials.
4. Support for Practical Classes
Assist faculty during practical demonstrations and workshops.
Prepare tools, equipment, and materials required for laboratory exercises.
Guide students in the proper use of laboratory equipment.
5. Safety and Compliance
Implement laboratory safety rules and regulations.
Ensure safe handling of machines, chemicals, dyes, and electrical equipment.
Maintain first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, and emergency procedures.
6. Record Keeping and Documentation
Maintain attendance records for laboratory sessions.
Keep stock registers, issue registers, maintenance logs, and laboratory utilization records.
Prepare reports related to laboratory activities and equipment status.
7. Examination and Project Support
Assist in conducting practical examinations.
Support student projects, fashion shows, exhibitions, and portfolio development activities.
Help set up displays and presentations.
Required Experience: Bachelors degree with relevant experience.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
