Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Maintenance & Electrical Engineer/Technician to join our company. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, equipment, and facility utilities.
The candidate should have good technical knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and a safety-focused approach to maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery.
2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and equipment failures.
3. Maintain electrical panels, distribution boards, motors, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, and control systems.
4. Inspect electrical equipment regularly and identify potential problems before breakdowns occur.
5. Read and understand wiring diagrams, and circuit diagrams.
6. Carry out electrical installation, modification, testing, and commissioning work.
7. Monitor and maintain company electrical systems and utilities.
8. Coordinate with production and other departments to reduce equipment downtime.
9. Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns and restore equipment to normal operation.
10. Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, inspections, and repairs.
11. Maintain proper stock of electrical spare parts, tools, and consumables.
12. Ensure all maintenance work is carried out according to company safety procedures.
13. Follow proper LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PPE, and electrical safety practices.
14. Support energy-saving and equipment improvement initiatives.
15. Coordinate with external vendors/service providers whenever required.
16. Maintain a clean and organized maintenance work area.
Required Skills
1. Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems and maintenance.
2. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
3. Knowledge of motors, starters, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, relays, contactors, and control circuits.
4. Ability to understand electrical drawings and schematics.
5. Knowledge of electrical safety procedures.
6. Ability to use electrical testing instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter, megger, and other maintenance tools.
7. Good communication and teamwork skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency breakdowns.
9. Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
Educational Qualification
1. ITI – Electrician
2. Equivalent technical qualification may also be considered.
Experience
1. 2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance is preferred.
2. Candidates with experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing plants, machinery maintenance, facility maintenance, automation, or electrical systems will be preferred.
