Job Requirements
We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to support Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering as a focal for supplier process reviews, problem solving, and capability development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Technical Support: Act as focal for process reviews at regional suppliers for both new technology development programs and existing production parts
2. New Part Industrialization: Work alongside Aerospace Manufacturing Engg focal to industrialize new parts at supplier sites. Review manufacturing plans, process flows, control plans, PFMEAs, and validation/qualification plans including FAIs and PPAPs
3. Problem Solving & Capability Development: Lead structured problem solving using 5-Why, Fishbone, 8D, or similar methodologies. Develop and maintain technical capability assessments and risk assessments for suppliers
4. Domain Expertise: Apply manufacturing expertise across multiple part families like rotating hardware, structures, casings, or precision assemblies as applicable to the program
5. Autonomous Execution: Proactively identify technical barriers and drive resolution with minimum hand-holding

Must-Have Technical Skills:
Category Skills
Core Manufacturing - Process flows, Control Plans, PFMEA, MSA, SPC
Quality Tools - 5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, 8D, Root Cause Analysis
Aerospace Qualification - FAI – AS9102, PPAP, Production Part Approval Process
Part Families- Rotating hardware, structures, casings, precision assemblies
Assessment Tools - Technical capability assessments, Risk assessments
Preferred Experience:
1. 3-8 years in aerospace manufacturing, supplier quality, or manufacturing engineering
2. Hands-on experience with NPI and industrialization at supplier sites
3. Exposure to Aerospace processes
4. Knowledge of special processes: Machining, welding, heat treat, NDT, surface treatments for aero parts
5. Software: PLM tools like Teamcenter, Enovia; Minitab for data analysis
Soft Skills:
1. Stakeholder management: Interface with Aero Shop focal, suppliers, quality, and program teams
2. Travel readiness: 25-40% travel to supplier sites for reviews and audits
3. Communication: Ability to present findings in technical reviews and tollgate meetings
4. Proactive mindset: Self-starter who identifies issues before they impact delivery
