Position: Geotechnical Engineer – Research & Development (R&D)
Location : Bengaluru, Karnataka
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract (Based on performance, the position may be converted into a permanent role.)
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and research-oriented Geotechnical Engineer to join our Research & Development (R&D) team. This role is ideal for fresh postgraduates or candidates with up to one year of experience who have a strong interest in geotechnical research, numerical modelling, field investigations, laboratory testing, and technical documentation.
The selected candidate will contribute to innovative research projects, collaborate with industry experts and academic institutions, and support the development of advanced geotechnical engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform geotechnical analyses using Finite Element Method (FEM) and Limit Equilibrium Method (LEM)-based software.
- Develop engineering scripts, automation tools, and computational models using MATLAB and Python.
- Utilize GIS software for mapping, spatial analysis, and data visualization.
- Participate in geotechnical field investigations, instrumentation, monitoring, and laboratory testing.
- Analyse field, laboratory, and numerical modelling data to support research activities.
- Prepare technical reports, research reports, proposals, presentations, conference papers, journal publications, and technical documentation.
- Support research projects, product development, prototype validation, and innovation initiatives.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, academic institutions, laboratories, and research organizations.
- Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and technical meetings to present and disseminate research findings.
- Assist in technical content development for the company website and support basic webpage design and content management.
Educational Qualification
- M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related specialization from a reputed institute.
- First Class or above throughout the qualifying degree.
Experience
- 0–1 year of relevant experience.
- Fresh postgraduates with a strong research background are encouraged to apply.

Experience or familiarity with one or more of the following will be preferred:

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of geotechnical field and laboratory testing.
- Exposure to instrumentation, monitoring systems, IoT sensors, or data acquisition systems.
- Experience with GIS-based spatial analysis and mapping.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, WordPress, or website content management.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, and presentation skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Added Advantage
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Presented papers at national or international conferences.
- Published journal papers, conference papers, book chapters, or technical articles.
- Participated in funded research or sponsored R&D projects.
- Experience in prototype development or technology validation.
