We are a fully remote research lab focused on developing experimental AI products. We are seeking a highly skilled Fullstack Engineer with a strong background in backend engineering to join us.
As part of our small and elite team, which includes engineers, AI researchers, and growth hackers, you will play a key role in our agile development process, collaborating closely to deliver innovative AI experiments on a rapid 2-3 week cycle.

Job Description
Responsibilities
Backend Development
- Design and develop scalable server-side software for our consumer AI applications and infrastructure software
- Implement RESTful APIs and backend services to support various frontend functionalities and data processing needs
- Collaborate with DevOps/Infra team to deploy and manage our applications on cloud platforms and ensure high availability and scalability
Web Development
- Implement server-side components and backend logic
- Design and maintain databases
- When necessary, roll up one’s sleeves to ship user-facing features (some frontend)
Architecture and Planning
- Break down ambiguous goals and high fidelity design into a well architected, technical execution plan
- Implement cost-effective solutions, innovates with rapid spikes, avoids “penny wise, pound foolish” trade offs
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience working on web or backend applications
- Self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to work independently
- Scaling: experience scaling BE systems, e.g. db optimizations/migrations, load balancing, caching etc.
- Languages & frameworks: Go, React.js /w Redux, C++ (bonus), gRPC (bonus)
- Databases: PostgreSQL, ORM, Redis, ElasticSearch
- Cloud: Cloudflare, AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, K8s
