Role Overview
Swad Institute is seeking a technically strong and creatively driven Cinematographer to manage studio and on-location shoots for culinary and promotional content. The role demands expertise in camera operations, lighting design, and food videography, along with the ability to execute high-quality shoots aligned with content strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and manage the studio environment, including lighting, camera positioning, audio (microphone setup), and green screen configuration
- Plan and execute video shoots as per content calendars and production schedules
- Operate professional camera equipment and accessories to capture high-quality visuals
- Ensure proper framing, composition, and lighting specifically for food and culinary content
- Collaborate with content creators and marketing team to understand shoot requirements, scripts, and brand direction
- Direct on-set activities, including guiding chefs, presenters, and assistants for optimal visual output
- Capture both video and still photography (especially food photography) for digital use
- Maintain consistency in visual aesthetics, brand tone, and production quality across all content
- Troubleshoot technical issues during shoots and ensure minimal downtime
- Manage and organise raw footage, ensuring proper file handling and storage
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of professional lighting techniques (studio and natural lighting)
- Hands-on experience with professional camera gear (DSLR/Mirrorless, lenses, stabilizers, etc.)
- Understanding of post-production workflows, including editing, colour correction, and basic sound design
- Proven ability in food photography and videography with attention to detail and styling
- Good understanding of green screen usage and background compositing
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple shoots
- Creative eye for composition, storytelling, and visual aesthetics
- Basic coordination and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience in shooting content for Instagram Reels, ads, and digital campaigns
- Familiarity with editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software
- Understanding of current social media video trends and formats
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
