Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Manager/Senior Manager – Biomedical Engineering to manage biomedical equipment, maintenance, and technical operations across multiple diagnostic laboratory locations. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on knowledge of pathology laboratory equipment as well as X-ray/medical imaging equipment and proven experience in multi-location management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage biomedical engineering operations across multiple diagnostic centres/laboratories.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, preventive and breakdown maintenance of biomedical equipment.
- Manage equipment used in Pathology Labs, Radiology/X-Ray and other diagnostic services.
- Coordinate with OEMs, vendors and service providers for AMC/CMC, repairs and technical support.
- Ensure timely preventive maintenance, calibration and equipment uptime across locations.
- Monitor equipment performance, maintenance schedules, service reports and inventory of critical spares.
- Develop and implement SOPs for equipment maintenance, safety and compliance.
- Support new centre setup, equipment planning, procurement, installation and commissioning.
- Maintain equipment records, AMC/CMC contracts, warranties and service documentation.
- Identify recurring equipment issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with Operations, Lab, Radiology, IT and other stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted services.
- Prepare MIS and management reports covering equipment uptime, breakdowns, maintenance costs and vendor performance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare, safety and regulatory requirements.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation or relevant field.
- 7–12+ years of relevant experience, preferably in diagnostic laboratories, hospitals or healthcare organizations.
- Mandatory multi-location management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Pathology Laboratory equipment.
- Strong knowledge of X-Ray and diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Experience managing biomedical equipment maintenance teams and external vendors.
- Strong understanding of AMC/CMC, preventive maintenance, calibration and equipment lifecycle management.
- Excellent vendor management, problem-solving and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel across multiple centres as required.
Preferred
Experience with diagnostic chains/laboratory networks, new centre commissioning, equipment procurement and biomedical asset management will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
