Job Requirements
ROLE SUMMARY / PURPOSE
The Mechanical Engineer for Design of Steel structures using STAAD pro will work on design and development of Heavy-duty Gas Turbine (GT) Accessories systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Design of Steel structures using STAAD pro.
-
Calculation of loads and load cases based on various Country Building codes.
-
Design of Bolted joints and welded joints based on AISC Steel manual as well as other country design manuals.
-
Hand calculations for structural designs.
-
Co-ordinate with Designer for successful completion of drawings.
-
Product Life cycle Management exposure.
-
Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as manufacturing, sourcing, services, global engineering, advanced technologies and systems engineering.

Coordinate with vendors to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.

Document design work clearly and meticulously.
-
HRSG Domain knowledge is added advantage.
Work Experience
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
-
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / Structural Engineering.
-
Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in steam/gas/nuclear power plant
-
Minimum 5+ Years of experience in STAAD pro.
-
Basic knowledge on Power plant components and its functioning.
-
Problem solving skills.
-
Ability to work with Cross Functional teams.

Good Communication Skills

Ability to synthesize information from different engineering disciplines.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):

STAAD Pro

Steel Connection design (Bolted/Welded).

Proficient in American and European Code

PLM Tools (Enovia / Teamcenter) knowledge is added advantage

MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
