Job Summary:
GMR Varalakshmi Foundation is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advance Computing & Data Visualization to train and mentor youth (Aged 18-30) from underprivileged backgrounds. The trainer will be responsible for equipping students with fundamental computer skills, enhancing their employability in various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver interactive training sessions on basic computer operations, MS Office, internet usage, Advance excel, MIS Dashboards, Tableau, power BI, Database querying (SQL), Python and R, Cloud computing
- Develop course materials, practical exercises, and assessments to enhance learning.
- Provide career guidance, resume-building support, and interview preparation for trainees.
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress through evaluations and feedback sessions.
- Coordinate with local businesses and organizations for guest lectures, exposure visits, and placement opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant insights into training modules.
- Maintain records of attendance, assessments, and training effectiveness for reporting purposes.
- Support in mobilizing candidates and engaging with community outreach programs to encourage enrollment.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field or similar qualification.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in teaching computer operations, IT training, or related areas.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, internet applications, email communication, and basic troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and the local language.
- Experience in training and mentoring youth, preferably from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital training tools.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young learners to build their careers in the IT sector.
- Strong networking skills to establish partnerships with companies and IT institutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification /Diploma/Degree in IT Training, Digital Literacy, or Computer Applications.
- Prior experience in skill development programs or government-funded training initiatives.
- Understanding of youth employability challenges and strategies for workforce readiness.
