Your role :
Lead business finance for both SaaS and Lending (LSP) verticals. Drive planning, performance tracking, unit economics and strategic decision support. Act as a finance partner to business teams to enable growth with strong control on revenue, cost, profitability and risk.
What would you do at Khatabook?
1. Business Planning & Budgeting
Lead half-yearly and annual budgeting in collaboration with business, product, and growth teams
Build detailed financial models covering SaaS metrics (CAC, LTV, retention etc) and lending metrics (disbursement, yield, cost of capital, NPAs etc)
Translate business plans into actionable financial targets
2. Performance Monitoring & Governance
Track weekly business performance vs budgets across both verticals
Highlight deviations with clear root-cause analysis and corrective actions
Build dashboards and reporting frameworks for real-time visibility
3. Business Partnering & Insights
Provide data-driven insights on growth, efficiency, and profitability
Identify opportunities for improving conversion funnels, user monetization, and cross-sell
Support experimentation (pricing, campaigns, credit strategies) with financial evaluation
4. Cost Optimization & Efficiency
Drive cost optimization across technology, marketing, operations, and vendor spends
Lead commercial negotiations with vendors and partners
Identify and implement efficiency improvements using automation and AI tools
5. Lending Finance & Capital Management
Work closely with lenders to negotiate and optimize cost of capital
Evaluate lending unit economics including IRR, risk-adjusted returns, and cohort profitability
Monitor disbursement trends, take rates, and lender performance
6. Risk & Portfolio Monitoring
Track NPA trends across cohorts and identify early warning signals
Partner with credit and collections teams to improve portfolio quality
Analyze repayment behavior and recommend risk mitigation strategies
7. MIS & Reporting
Ensure timely and accurate monthly MIS reporting
Develop standardized and scalable reporting packs for leadership
Maintain strong data integrity across systems
8. Benchmarking & Strategy
Conduct industry benchmarking on CAC, lending yields, NPAs, opex ratios, etc.
Support leadership with strategic inputs for expansion, partnerships, and new initiatives
What are we looking for?

Strong analytical and financial modelling skills

Good understanding of digital business models (SaaS + lending ecosystem)

Experience working with large datasets and building dashboards

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure costs, digital marketing spends and analytics platforms

Exposure to leveraging AI/automation for productivity and decision-making

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

High ownership and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
Educational Qualifications:

CA / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute

5–8 years of experience in lending or fintech

Strong exposure to business finance, FP&A and lending metrics
