Team lead cum Student relation manager for Study abroad consultancy
As a Student Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for guiding students through the entire lifecycle of the overseas education process. This includes initial counseling, university selection, application filing, and visa assistance. Your goal is to provide a seamless, supportive experience that leads to successful enrollments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Counseling & Academic Advising
Conduct one-on-one sessions with students and parents to understand their career goals and financial constraints.
Provide detailed information on various countries (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, etc.), their education systems, and post-study work opportunities.
Help students identify the right courses and universities based on their academic profile.
2. Application & Documentation Management
Oversee the end-to-end application process, ensuring all documents (transcripts, LORs, SOPs) are accurate and submitted before deadlines.
Liaise with university admissions offices to follow up on offer letters.
Maintain a high "conversion rate" from lead to successful enrollment.
3. Visa & Financial Guidance
Guide students through the complex visa application process, including document preparation and mock interviews.
Advise on financial requirements, including education loans, scholarships, and proof of funds.
4. Relationship Management & Networking
Build long-term rapport with students to encourage referrals (word-of-mouth is key in this industry).
Represent the firm at education fairs, school seminars, and university workshops.
Stay updated on changing immigration laws and university entry requirements.
5. Team Leadership & Operational Oversight
Supervise and mentor a team of Junior Counselors, providing training on university portfolios, country-specific regulations, and effective sales techniques.
Monitor team KPIs, including lead response times, conversion rates, and the quality of student counseling sessions.
Assign leads effectively across the team and ensure the CRM is updated accurately by all counselors.
