Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Industrial Sales Engineer – Fire Safety Systems to drive B2B sales of fire protection and fire safety solutions across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of fire protection systems and the ability to develop long-term customer relationships while achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in industrial, commercial, EPC, MEP, OEM, and infrastructure markets.
- Promote and sell fire safety systems, including fire pumps, hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, valves, controllers, and related products.
- Meet consultants, architects, MEP consultants, contractors, project managers, facility managers, and end users to generate project inquiries.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
- Provide technical product presentations and recommend suitable fire safety solutions based on customer requirements and applicable standards.
- Coordinate with engineering, design, procurement, and project execution teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with customers.
- Track project pipelines, follow up on leads, and convert opportunities into orders.
- Conduct competitor analysis and monitor market trends to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business and high customer satisfaction.
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence for management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2–8 years of experience in industrial or project sales, preferably in fire protection, fire safety, pumps, HVAC, MEP, or industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of fire protection systems and relevant industry standards (NFPA, NBC, FM, UL, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer meetings and project visits.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, industrial plants, real estate developers, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of tendering processes and project-based sales.
- Existing network within the fire protection or industrial engineering industry will be an advantage.
