Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Ops Support L2 Engineer to provide second-level technical and operational support for critical production systems. The candidate should have solid troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with monitoring tools, and the ability to coordinate with L1 and L3 teams to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities: Provide Level 2 operational support for applications, systems, and infrastructure. Monitor production environments and proactively identify performance or stability issues. Analyze incidents raised by L1 support and resolve or escalate to L3/development teams as required. Perform routine maintenance, patching, and health checks on systems. Document all incidents, changes, and resolutions in the ticketing system. Support deployment activities, configuration updates, and release management. Assist in the creation of SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base documents. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system uptime and reliability. Technical Skills: Operating Systems: Linux, Unix, Windows Server. Scripting: Shell, Bash, or Python (for automation and troubleshooting). Databases: Basic understanding of SQL, MySQL, or Oracle for query validation and issue analysis. Monitoring Tools: Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK Stack. Ticketing Tools: ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy. Cloud Platforms (Preferred): AWS, Azure, or GCP (basic knowledge). Networking: Basic understanding of DNS, load balancing, VPN, and connectivity issues. CI/CD Tools (Optional): Jenkins, Git, or Ansible for deployment support. Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience in application and infrastructure monitoring. Ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive maintenance. Experience supporting production environments in a 24x7 setup. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
