Oracle EBS Practice Head – Job Description

Role Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Oracle EBS Practice Head with 18+ years of experience in Oracle ERP/E-Business Suite consulting, delivery, practice management, business development, and strategic leadership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the growth, profitability, innovation, and market positioning of the Oracle EBS practice while leading large transformation programs and supporting presales initiatives. This role requires a blend of delivery excellence, people leadership, client relationship management, solutioning, and business growth capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Oracle EBS practice aligned with organizational goals.
- Build and scale Oracle EBS consulting capabilities across functional, technical, integration, and managed services streams.
- Drive practice revenue growth, profitability, utilization, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and develop service offerings around Oracle EBS upgrades, cloud coexistence, managed services, and digital transformation.
- Establish governance frameworks, delivery standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Delivery & Program Management
- Provide executive oversight for large-scale Oracle EBS implementation, upgrade, rollout, support, and transformation programs.
- Ensure successful delivery of complex engagements within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Manage risks, escalations, stakeholder communications, and client governance structures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery teams.
Business Development & Presales
- Partner with sales teams to identify, qualify, and pursue Oracle EBS opportunities.
- Lead presales activities including solution design, effort estimation, proposal development, RFP/RFI responses, and client presentations.
- Participate in executive-level customer discussions, workshops, and solution demonstrations.
- Develop compelling value propositions, business cases, and transformation roadmaps.
- Support account mining and expansion strategies within existing clients.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build trusted advisor relationships with CXOs, business leaders, and IT stakeholders.
- Serve as the executive sponsor for strategic customer engagements.
- Drive customer success, retention, and long-term partnership growth.
- Conduct executive steering committee meetings and governance reviews.
People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing Oracle EBS consulting teams.
- Drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, capability development, and succession planning.
- Establish competency frameworks, certification programs, and knowledge management initiatives.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
Practice Operations
- Own practice P&L, budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and utilization management.
- Monitor key business metrics and implement actions to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to achieve strategic business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related discipline.
- 18+ years of IT consulting experience with significant expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite.
- Proven experience leading Oracle ERP/EBS practices, COEs, or large delivery organizations.
- Extensive experience managing enterprise-scale Oracle EBS implementations and support engagements.
- Strong understanding of Oracle EBS modules such as Financials, SCM, Procurement, Manufacturing, Projects, HRMS, and CRM.
- Demonstrated experience in practice management, revenue ownership, and business growth.
- Experience leading presales activities including solutioning, estimations, proposal creation, and executive presentations.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP transformation programs and hybrid EBS-to-Cloud journeys.
- Oracle certifications in EBS and/or Oracle Cloud applications.
- Experience managing global delivery teams and multi-geography engagements.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integrations, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
