We are looking for a fast, creative, and disciplined Video Editor who can consistently produce high-quality social media videos and short-form content for our clients and the company.
This is an execution-heavy role where consistency, speed, creativity, and meeting deadlines are extremely important.
Key Responsibility
The primary responsibility of the Video Editor will be to edit and deliver a minimum of 4 completed videos per working day according to the assigned content calendar, briefs, and deadlines.
The videos may include:
- Instagram Reels
- Facebook Reels
- YouTube Shorts
- Promotional Videos
- Educational Videos
- Business/Brand Videos
- Talking-head Videos
- Trend-based Videos
- Client Advertisement Creatives
Roles & Responsibilities1. Video Editing
- Edit a minimum of 4 videos every working day.
- Edit short-form videos primarily for Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Create engaging cuts, transitions, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Add subtitles, captions, text animations, graphics, and effects.
- Add appropriate background music and sound effects.
- Maintain proper video quality, aspect ratio, and resolution.
- Ensure videos are optimized for social media platforms.
2. Content Understanding
- Understand the purpose and objective of each video before editing.
- Follow the content brief provided by the Social Media Manager/Content Team.
- Select appropriate footage, visuals, music, and editing style.
- Create edits that maintain audience attention and improve watch time.
- Adapt editing style according to different client brands and industries.
3. Reels & Short-Form Content
The candidate should be comfortable creating high-retention short-form content, including:
- Strong opening hooks
- Fast-paced editing
- Captions and subtitles
- Jump cuts
- Zooms and motion effects
- B-roll integration
- Sound effects
- Trend-based editing
- CTA-focused endings
4. Creative Contribution
The Video Editor will not only execute instructions but should also contribute creative ideas.
You will be expected to:
- Suggest better editing approaches.
- Identify trending video formats.
- Suggest suitable transitions, effects, music, and visual styles.
- Experiment with new editing techniques.
- Help improve the overall quality of the company's video content.
5. Client-Specific Editing
- Understand different client brand identities.
- Maintain consistency in fonts, colors, graphics, tone, and editing style.
- Adapt videos according to the industry and target audience.
- Maintain professional quality across all client deliverables.
6. Revision & Quality Control
- Make revisions based on feedback from the Social Media Manager, Project Manager, or management.
- Check every video before delivery.
- Ensure there are no spelling, subtitle, audio, rendering, or visual errors.
- Deliver final files in the required format and resolution.
Daily Performance RequirementMinimum Daily Output: 4 Completed Videos
The expected workflow is:
Brief → Edit → Quality Check → Revision → Final Delivery
The employee must manage their time effectively to consistently achieve the daily output requirement without compromising the required quality standards.
Daily work may be reviewed based on:
- Number of videos completed
- Quality of editing
- Timeliness
- Creativity
- Revision requirements
- Ability to follow briefs
- Client/project requirements
Required Skills
The candidate should have:
- Strong knowledge of video editing.
- Experience with short-form social media content.
- Good understanding of pacing and storytelling.
- Knowledge of subtitles and text animation.
- Basic motion graphics skills.
- Good understanding of music and sound effects.
- Ability to work with different video formats.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Software
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- DaVinci Resolve
- CapCut
- Final Cut Pro
- Canva
- Other professional video editing tools
Strong practical editing ability is more important than knowledge of a particular software.

- Keep project files and client assets secure.
- Take ownership of assigned deliverables.
